Silent Book Club, Olde Carlsbad, is the Book Club for introverts. We meet in person on the last Friday of every month and online one Friday a month leading up to the in-person meetup. As we get our barring, there will be one-morning meetup per month.

What is Silent Book Club?

There are no assigned books. Bring whatever you are currently reading to enjoy (ebooks and audiobooks are welcome!)

Each gathering consists of an hour of quiet reading surrounded by other quiet readers, followed by an optional social hour to discuss books, life, or anything else you want.

There are no membership fees or costs to join, but we do ask that you purchase from the venue as we will be taking up space—we want to support our local businesses!

Go with the flow. Your hosts are volunteers, and the venue is a busy location.

B.Y.O. Book or Book of the Month

10:00-10:30 am - Arrive and order drinks/food or set up your reading spot. Share what you're reading if you like.

10:30-11:30 am - Quiet reading hour (bring noise-canceling headphones if you need to)

11:30-12:00 pm - Optional socializing, or keep reading, restock on drinks & food.
