Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase but understand that sometimes an item needs to be returned. To qualify for the return policies below, all sales must be made directly with Aber Stoat Books. If you purchased from another retailer, please refer to their return policy. Please review and contact us with any questions.

You may return your book in its original condition within 7 days of receiving your order.

In order to exercise your right of return, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement.

You can inform us of your decision by emailing hello@aberstoatbooks.com with the subject line 'RETURN'.

We will reimburse you no later than 15 days after we receive the returned books. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the order, and you will not incur any fees for such reimbursement, excluding the initial shipping costs, that is non-refundable.

Conditions for returns:

In order for the book to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The books were received within the last 7 days

  • The books are in the original packaging and in good condition.

The following goods cannot be returned:

  • The book was clearly personalized, such as a signed copy.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions at our sole discretion.

How to Return Goods
  1. Mail Your Return: Upon approval, you, the customer, are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend that you return your items using a method that is insured and traceable. This gives you the power to ensure the safe return of your item and provides reassurance between you and your local mail service carrier in the event that it is lost or damaged during return transit. We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged during the return transit. Once shipped, please notify us by emailing hello@aberstoatbooks.com with the subject line 'RETURN SHIPPED' with the tracking number and carrier. Make sure to send your book(s) to the following address:

  2. Library Donation Return: If you prefer not to pay for return shipping, you can request a Library Donation Return. This option allows you to still return your book in its original condition within 7 days of receiving your order and receive 40% cashback on the purchase price paid per book returned, shipping, and tax, excluding. No mail return is needed.

    To initiate this request, you can inform us of your decision by emailing hello@aberstoatbooks.com with the subject line 'LIBRARY RETURN'. After approval, you simply need to go into your local library and donate the book (do not use the donation drop box). You will need to provide us with the:

    1. Library's name

    2. Address

    3. Photo of your donation receipt

    4. The date of donation.

    Once we receive this information, we will initiate your refund by check, Zelle, or ACH bank transfer.

Reporting Damaged Arrivals:

If you receive a book that is damaged in transit, email us at hello@aberstoatbooks.com with the subject line DAMAGED. Include your Order number and photos of the damaged areas. Please indicate if you are looking for a refund or replacement. We get it when a book arrives beyond saving, and we know how heartwrenching that can be. We will send off the replacement as soon as we can!
